Crime-Drama is a genre of film that has captivated me. This is a genre that basically made me want to become a filmmaker. Citizen Detective is certainly a crime-drama and one I hope that can make me feel the way I do when I watch some of my favorites. On paper, the film is something I feel confident that can work well. What’s needed now is passion, hard work, and collaboration from myself and those who are/will be working on this project. And, to those helping this project along right now, I am truly grateful for any contribution that has been made on your part.
We are still in the pre-production stages for “Citizen Detective” and pictures, cast info, crew info, all of these things will come in time. If you are following this blog, I appreciate that you will take the time to stick around and hopefully you get the payoff when production begins.
Crime rate in Philadelphia is rising, people are dying and there is seemingly no answer to the violence. Brotherly Love Post writer and reporter, Jake Lockwood, is troubled by the clandestine activity and has been publishing harsh criticism for the lack of action to combat the crimes. Needless to say, people aren’t happy. Controlling the violence is the unhinged and demanding Kenneth Benkowski with his right hand man, Richard Akers. From a Polish crime family in Boston, Kenneth is not in the city of brotherly love on good conditions, which fuel his outbursts and the crime spree he’s started. Everyone around Jake urges him to back off with his writing, but the night his longtime friend, Marty Lang, is murdered he decides to act. Jake Lockwood begins his own detective work, starting an investigation he soon realizes might be to big for him to handle. Can Jake Lockwood make it through the corruption and bring Benkowski to justice or will his involvement only add to the violence that Kenneth Benkowski has started? This is Citizen Detective…
Today I begin a blog that I hope I can and will keep up with. My name is Michael Falconi and along with a very helpful friend and classmate, Justinian Difo, I am in the progress of getting a film off of the ground. This film is “Citizen Detective”, a detective/vigilante crime-drama that I wrote over the course of 2011. Right now, we are in the pre-production stages of the film and still trying to bring all of the pieces together. My intentions are track the progress of the film as we move forward. Along the way I will post pictures, videos, or anything that I find inspiring for the film. Not only is this for whomever comes across it, but I think it will help a great for me, to get the creative juices flowing.
I hope you will join in and follow the progress that this film makes because it is something I’m very excited and passionate about.
